The Institute for European Studies (Instituto de Estudios Europeos) was awarded the title of “Jean Monnet European Centre of Excellence” by the European Commission. It is specialised in the study and analysis of international affairs. Founded in 1999, the Institute aims to be a leading centre for research, teaching and publishing in all issues concerning international matters. The Master in International Legal Practice (MILP) gives students the skills required to carry out legal advising tasks at the highest level. The focus on the case law method allows students to develop an outstanding capacity of analysis when working as lawyers within an international environment. The Master in International Relations (MIR), aims to furnish the student with a good grounding in the operation and development of international relations. The subject matter is diverse and wide ranging to ensure that students gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the present political, economic and legal relations from an interdisciplinary outlook
